Does anybody here have any experience with the Troy rear folding Di-Optic Aperture BattleSight? Is there a major advantage to having the diamond shaped aperture versus the standard round aperture other than helping to line up the front sight. Does it really make a difference as far as quicker target acquisition? My reason for asking is that I am getting ready to purchase one and from a handful of the reviews I have read the di-optic is not really all that great in comparison to the standard round aperture.
Never tried the diamond shape, but in principle all you are doing is centering the FSP in the rear aperture. In theory the diamond shape gives you a center line for the FSP for your sight picture.
Well, I decided to order the di-optic rear folding sight. I will have to give a report on my thoughts when I get it as well as a range report when my build is complete...only lacking the complete lower build kit and she's done!
