Anybody running one of these new Eotechs?

How are they holding up? Any of the old battery drain/ spring contact issues?

I'm thinking of going Eotech on my next build. They have a rebate program running right now.

From what I hear battery life is very short...60 hours or so. However no problems with the battery contacts failing, either.

They're a good design and pretty small...but seems like battery life is a killer. This is from a local instructor who's been running one for a while.

I don't care for the reticle, so I'd rather have an Aimpoint Micro, smaller in size and a better dot...IMO.

Hmmm, seems they can't get the battery life on par with the Aimpoint.

Kinda of hard to do when you are powering a laser and not a LED.

Since I have an Eotech 516, I'm considering the XPS2-0 for my latest build. Does the XPS co witness ?

If the XPS has such crappy battery life I might need to re consider.
I'm probably looking at getting both an Aimpoint PRO and T1

I have the EXPS and have been very happy with it. Not enough use yet to tell how long the battery will last.

I did get an Aimpoint Pro. But I will need another optic for an additional rifle. I would love to get the EXPS-2 but availability is spotty. My main concern is battery life. Eotech states 600 hrs on the default setting but internet reports are indicating much lower real run times. This paericular build is a very light wwight gun so I may wnd up with either an aimpoint h1 or t1

Well, I decided I need two optics so I ordered the EXPS 2-0 and it will be delivered tomorrow. Next week I'll order the Aimpoint micro T-1

Most folks claim they are getting over the 6-- hours the XPS series is rated for on battery life.
