Optics and Irons

Yeah Larue throws in stuff like stickers, hat, 'dillo dust (a kickass meat rub) and a "beverage entry tool" with their orders

Every order... Usually the hat and dillo dust only come if you buy a LT item (light/optic mount, rail etc) but the bottle opener and stickers come with every order along with a tri-fold of all of their items

Guys that order from an APO in A-stan or Iraq generally get a tin of hard candy and a roll of Cope as well... Mark takes care of his customers, especially faceshooters that are downrange

Honestly I will never run any optic mount other than LT... The quality of his product and CS would have done it but he has won me over as a life long customer with the way he supports the military as well as competition shooters and tactical courses

Then this is what you need...

If cost is an issue you could always save a few bucks with the standard mount assuming your not running NOD's or q magnifier

The SOG mount looks similar to the one sold by Primary arms.
Hate to say it but SOG doesn't manufacture a thing. Much of the stuff is way overpriced and with a bit of research can found in other brand names for less money.

I used to have a KAC cantilever Aimpoint mount upon which this clone is based. It worked well for me, but I never did see the benefits of mounting an Aimpoint or EOTech further forward than the upper receiver allows.

Further forward or anywhere, most people have their reasons and opinions. When I had the KAC mount there was no magnifier, I used my TA01NSN as a magnifier (never shot with it), then the cantilever mount was useful because it allowed the ACOG to mount behind it.

I like my Aimpoint and EOTech as far forward as the upper receiver allows, but if they were mounted further back, I'd have no problems.

I have an Aimpoint rail grabber without the spacer if you want it, it's fine on my HK weapons, to use it on the AR's receiver you'll need a spacer

SOG armory is local to me here in Houston. They assemble stuff from various parts. They do not manufacture. They are also a bit cryptic about what parts they use. The Aimpoint mount photographed in this post appears to be one of the imported mounts available from almost any on line source for less. Midwest industries makes one similar here in the USA
