AAC Blackout vs SE Vortex

Postby The DRis » Tue Aug 25, 2009 4:36 am

Ok, so I have just found out about the AAC. I thought the Vortex was the only open ended flash hider. Any opinions on which works better? Not that this is an issue, but does the Blackout ring like the Vortex does? Does one have stronger prongs over another? I want a Vortex, but others I have talked to say the prongs are prone to breaking off or bending..... I'm not a commando, but I want gear that will stand up to abuse when its called upon.

Edit: Fix the mixup between companies named.

The SE is the Vortex, AAC makes the blackout.
I have both. The AAC Blackout is the stronger of the 2.
The Blackout also almost eliminates all the flash.

Good reference pic Mike, I will be opting for the AAC when I get my upper.
