I knew that question would pop up
They each have their own +'s and -'s

The SLAP plates came about after the first Magpul video came out, and the ASAP wasn't available yet. "ikickhippies" made the SLAP to be functionally like the ASAP but with a simpler design.
Next the Noveske QD plate came out, and finally the Magpul ASAP.

I guess which it depends on what type of sling and what you want out of that sling would determine which is better.

One single point sling I have has a sewn in QD swivel, so the Noveske is the choice. Others slings I have either have the HK hook or snap shackles. The HK hook or snap shackle work well with the SLAP and the ASAP.

So, which do I like best?...........I guess I'm a "fanboy", the ASAP

I guess I should also add the KAC QD receiver mount, it doesn't mount on the rear, but has sockets on each side.

if I go back a bit further I also have the Gear Sector SPRE, these come in right or left hand models.
