I always cook a bunch of weiners and burgers to take to work over the next week when I grill. I'm going to start up the smoker tomorrow when I get home and load it up with ribs. I smoke them for 3 hours, then finish grill them on the little grill there to make the outsides crispy.

Infrared is the way to go :)

Need some pics Adam, they sound great.

Made this tonight.

Pot roast, mashed spuds, home made gravy, saute'd brussel sprouts (with balsamic vinegar) and some good bread so nothing gets away.

I think a good bread that stands up to soaking up all the juices and flavors is an essential part of a good meal!!

I've never even contemplated combining bread in a dinner meal with meat and potatoes, it's not done here. But the dish looks yummy though.

You have to have something to sop up all the good juices and gravy left on the plate. :D

We have an open face roast beef plate over here.

Start with bread on the bottom, then layered roast beef, a big ol' scoop of mashed potatoes on top of that
then smothered in dark brown gravy. Usually served with a side of corn or green beans.

It's good!

Almost every meal in a restaurant here comes with some sort of bread (usually rolls) for mop up duty.

It keeps us from licking the plates...... :icon-wink:

Same here, but it's eaten while waiting for the meal, and between servings, I guess we're more civilized over here

Whats so civilized about having to lick the plate because you ate all the bread before the meal!

I made oven baked pork chops with baked potatoes and green beans and some good old southern style corn BREAD

Maybe it's served before the meal to prevent people from licking the plate, you know, to satisfy the most extreme hunger ;)
