What is the ribbon for? And is that BACON on the left? If that is a cured meat we don't have anything like it here.

Looks great.

Top right is slices of cured lamb leg, bottom right is cured pork, it all goes down very well with a quality ale

The ribbon is for wearing on your jacket, but we stayed at home this year and prepared some good eating instead

Good question. Is that for a thin sliced appetizer?

I was showing your corn on the cob around the room. Every body agreed the bacon wrapped corn looked killer.

Thanks, it tastes even better then it looks.

Here is how to make it.

Clean the cob, I soak them in sugar water for an hour or two. Use thin cut bacon and wrap the ear, try to cover as much of the corn as possible.

Wrap the whole thing in a piece of aluminum foil. The trick is the amount of cooking time, which depends on your heat. Since I was smoking at low temps (200) I had the corn on for about an hour, turning every 15 minutes. The corn takes a lot longer to cook then the bacon. Once you think it is near done, remove the foil and the bacon will brown very quickly.

Enjoy.

You know I have never thought of wraping my corn in bacon and I don't know why bcause I have always added chopped up bacon to my canned corn. I will be trying this come summer.
