Here is my first breakfast from Norway, our own Slemmo picked up the tab.

Crisp bread, a caviar type spread and his famous brown cheese.
It was delicious.

Is that similar to knäckebröd?

Not really sure, the bread I used was called Wasa.

Yep, that's knäckebröd, Bones is really coming up with some creative new uses too, personally I wouldn't even have the Kaviar and brown cheese in the same meal
It's usually combined with hard white cheeses like swiss or just straigh on bread or knäckebröd.

I was wondering what kind of cheese to use, just figured the brown would be good and it was.

Made an egg sammie with it today too, very good.

Hehe, too me that's completely strange, but I guess it has to do with what we're learnt to do here when we grow up, and because of that I never thought of using it like that.
I'll have to try your new brown cheese combinations now and see what it really taste like

I remember eating that all the time growing up. My parents lived in Sweden for 5 years before I was born and that was one of the habits they brought back with them. That and my personal favorite: swedish pancakes and lingenberry.

For breakfast?? That's sick....but now I want some kraut.....

I wonder how scrambled eggs topped with kraut would be for the first meal??
Bagel on the side, toasted of course, with some of Slemmo's brown cheese.

I was home alone and no one to judge me.

Eggs and kraut will be up one of these days -
will have to have some good sausage to pair.

Believe me, no judging here either, I'm thinking about how to incorporate kraut into a breakfast item and you beat me to it!

What about this- kraut on top of potato pancakes? I'm liking that idea.
Side of eggs and some good sausage.

I'd just have the kraut on the side.

 I know you like your spuds, for some reason they are not a big breakfast item up here. We don't have gravy and biscuits either.

First time I had G&B was last year in Florida, that's some good eat'n breakfast food.

I guess taters take too long to make or something.

Sorry LR, I'll try and remember the spuds next time.
